Today was the first day I actually had to forgo the pleasure of working at the museum to work on little bird, now known as the beast. But I will say that today was a day at the beach compared to Sunday and last night.
I have now completed two coats of gilding and glitter. He also has shading around his eyes and wings again, plus a nice eyeliner job...we have now gone from Russian bird to a Duran Duran wanna be.
Oh, and I officially crown thee Wes, Godfather of Winter Bird. You have been just wonderful through out this whole thing, but I am indebted to your kind care, feeding, calm, and major restorative help last Saturday for the duration. If he was not a joint project before, he is now.
